About Kerala Saranya Loan Yojana 2024
Kerala Government has launched the Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme for the women of Kerala belonging to the backward caste / ST caste who are unemployed, uneducated, divorcee, widows, spinsters above 30 years age, and unwedded mothers, wives of Bed Ridden patients, etc.
The Government of Kerala will provide interest-free loans to these women up to 50,000 o start a small business. Interest-Free Loan Under Saranya Scheme
Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme launched by Kerala Govt. in order to provide Interest-free loans to the backward and segregated women of Kerala.
In this scheme, women will get interest-free loans up to Rs. 50,000. Out of which 50 % will be provided by the Kerala Govt. of Rs. 25,000.
The repayment can be done in Installments of 60 equal months. This scheme will help the women of the ST category to start their own businesses without any financial problems.
Kerala Self Employment Scheme-For Loan Above INR 50,000
- So for getting loan more than Rs. 50000 the beneficiary have to give 3% interest (flat-rate) along with the beneficiary have to remit the amount of 10%.
- If Current venture are running successfully and have already paid 50% of the loan taken then they will be eligible for additional loan upto 80% and at the nominal interest rate.
- To get the loan amount, beneficiary does not require any kind of security.
Eligibility Criteria of Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme
- Womens who are umemployed, widows, divorced , spinsters above 30 years and not married morthers of ST caste having age limit of 18 to 55 years ( except spinsters ) are eligible for this Saranya Scheme.
- The annual family income of the beneficiary must not be more than Rs. 100000 , only then you will be eligible for this scheme.
- Those who have Technical and Professional qualification will be given preference

| Widow | Widows are those women whose husband departed/ No more and she has not married again. The certificate of Widow can be taken from the village officer or head of Gram Panchayat or from the municipal Corporation Chairman. |
| Divorced women | The women who have got divorced by the husband come in this category. The Divorce Certificate will be taken from a court or religious organization. And in Divorce Certificate it must be stated that the women not remarried. |
| Deserted woman | The woman who is abandoned by her husband or husband is missing for the last 7 years is known as Deserted woman. Deserted Women have to make a certificate from the Tahsildar and in the certificate, it must be written that the women have not married again to date. |
| Spinsters | Women’s completed 30 years as on 1 st April and were unmarried known as spinsters. The certificate will be received from the Village officer itself. |
| Unmarried mothers | Those Womens belonging to the ST Category have become mothers without getting married. She has to make a certificate from the Village officer in which caste and community must be clearly stated. |
